SAGE – The Amazing Herb

14 Jun

I just re-discovered Sage Tea this weekend. Yummy!

Sage truly is a wonder herb! And I always thought it just smelled good and made food taste great! Hiking the Angeles National Forest, Michael and I always try to find the white sage to rub between our fingers to release the amazing scent! Because of this, I recently bought sage essential oil so we could have the smell whenever we wanted! And after that I found Sage Tea at Bird Pick Tea & Herb. You can imagine how excited I was at such a discovery! Well take a look at the abundant health benefits sage provides! It just gets better and better.

Kombucha On Tap

1 Jun

It was only three years ago that I discovered the amazing health benefits of Kombucha. It was one of those amazing finds at Whole Foods. You know, when you walk into Whole Foods, and you are overwhelmed with all the choices… you just want to try everything! Well, that’s how I discovered Kombucha. It looked good and it came with a list of health benefits.

The first Kombucha I ever tried was GT’s Original. Coincidentally my favorite brand of Kombucha today is GT’s. Their brand soars above all of the others because of their mastery of balancing perfect carbonation and amazing flavor. Others don’t even come close.

Coincidentally, GT’s is located in Los Angeles. Even more coincidentally the Kombucha on Tap at Whole Foods is GT’s brand!

This whole Kombucha on Tap just recently came to Whole Foods. I tried it for the first time last week. Wow-e-wow! My goodness. It was way better than my wildest dreams. Whereas the bottled Kombucha has strings of bacteria floating around because it’s a live food, the tap has no strings. Whereas the bottled GT’s has amazing flavor, the GT’s on Tap has even more amazing flavor.

I got the Ginger Kombucha on Tap. The hints of ginger were like little floral reveries dancing on my tongue. AMAZING! There were two other flavors available: Grape and Super Fruit. I can’t wait to try them too!

Goodbye Candida Connect

14 May

This moment marks a milestone for me. For the past eleven months, I have hosted a social network called CandidaConnect.com. It was my support system for the worst health problem I have ever experienced. In a few moments, I will be taking down Candida Connect forever. The Facebook and Twitter pages are already gone.

Writing status updates and blog posts, uploading Candidiasis/Health videos and interacting with other people on my own social network offered much comfort during the torturous days battling such a simple thing as yeast overgrowth.

Having recently been healed from Candidiasis, I have found myself focusing efforts more on The Daily Snoop, my new website about anything and everything. I will continue to post about Candidiasis and Health here. Having said that, I am now in the mindset to close my social network, CandidaConnect.com.

As one door closes, another opens.

Thank you to all who offered shares and support on Candida Connect. May you all find peace and healing in your journey to optimal health.

What is Candidiasis?

1 May

Let me break this down in the easiest way that I can find possible. All the logistics of this infection called Systemic Candida or Candidiasis are pretty in depth and can get really confusing. The Resource Sections of my other website, CandidaConnect.com are going to be really helpful in times of unnerving confusion: (more…)

My Problem With Yeast

30 Apr

I have a huge problem with yeast! Yeast as in the yeast in our bodies, yeast. My problem is that it causes horrible problems for the human body when it’s allowed to grow exponentially to unhealthy levels. My problem is that it’s a sneaky little thing, and many people struggle for years with torturous health problems, until they figure out that the root cause is a plain and simple, yeast.

This blog post starts a series of posts about the disorder of systemic yeast overgrowth, called Candidiasis. This health condition has been such a huge part of my life, spanning well over a decade. I decided last year to start the social network, Candida Connect. I decided that I had cried my last cry, and then I formed my own support system. Below is an excerpt of what I’ve written about my experience. (more…)
